A look inside one of JR's deeply compelling art projects: In 2018, contemporary art superstar JR brought his legendary photo truck to San Francisco to try and capture the essence of the city in words and images. More than 1,000 citizens posed for his camera and told their stories, and JR compiled their portraits into an astounding photographic mural, a portrait of the city that is installed at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
