I have tried other markers out there and the don't seem to work as well as they will dry out or not be very drippy as this one. The larger version of this marker is good too but I like how small this one is which is smaller then the size of my hand which makes it very discrete. Since its smaller its going to run out of ink faster then the larger one of course but that's just a given. My personal experience is that I love ink markers better then paint markers. They just flow better, less streaky for me, and don't really dry out unless its out of ink of course it wont write. If its low on ink it's going to be streaky. If there is ink in it and you say its streaky you need to pump more ink into the tip and your good to go. The NIB in this works good and this is the only marker I go for when restocking.

The only issue I have is that I like to stretch out my markers and not have to buy new ones all the time once it's empty as i'm on a lower budget and will use the marker as long as I can before buying a new one. If you plan on reusing the same marker and doing a refill after its all the way used up. Over time which isn't that long maybe after 2 maybe 3 refills the plastic screw off top will get stripped and won't stay screwed on tight because its been in your pocket jiggling around, you put pressure on it in your pocket with other items such as a wallet, ect. I have to put tape around the thread to make it stay tight again. Also since its a plastic screw off top you don't want to over tighten it or you'll strip it.

What would be nice is if they made their makers like the Ironlak 15mm paint marks where its screws off from the bottom using a coin and it would be unstopable.

Anyways love OTR products and will keep buying more!

  • the OTR empty markers have FAR nicer nibs than the Molotow empties do! they are real felt, not synthetic and hard. The OTR empties are better for thicker inks, while the Molotows are best for thin inks like Nero or Garvey.
